Out of 3,500 applications, Adam Henson was selected in 2001 to host Countryfile. With his agricultural expertise and kind demeanour, Adam quickly gained popularity. In 2009, the show relocated to its current Sunday night time slot on BBC One and he started presenting a weekly report from his own Cotswolds farm.
Viewers watched Adam face the stress of TB testing, his anguish at losing valued cattle, and the highs and lows of spring lambing. The ups and downs of the farming calendar, as narrated in his straightforward style, quickly became one of the most popular elements of the broadcast.
Adam Henson's first book, titled "Adam's Farm," is a captivating first-person narrative of the drama, emotion, and sheer labour of daily living.
